Privacy PolicyLast updated: 12 August 2026This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Westarch Labs Ltd ("Westarch Labs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you access or use Shredr ("Shredr" or the "App"), our AI abs scanning, training, and nutrition tracking application.By accessing or using Shredr, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use Shredr.1. ELIGIBILITYShredr is intended for users aged 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App.If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at [email protected].2. INFORMATION WE COLLECTa. Information You Provide DirectlyAccount Information: your name and email address, received from Apple or Google when you sign in. Shredr does not use passwords, and we never see or store your Apple or Google account credentials.
Profile Information: gender, age or date of birth, height, weight, activity level, training experience, training days per week, body-fat estimate, and your goals.
Scan Photos: the abs and physique photos you choose to capture or upload for AI analysis and progress comparison.
Food and Meal Data: meal photos you capture, voice descriptions of meals you record, text descriptions you type, scanned product barcodes, and the resulting food, calorie, and macronutrient entries.
Training Data: workouts started and completed, exercises performed, difficulty selections, session feedback, and streaks.
Communications: messages, feedback, and support requests you send us.
b. Information Collected AutomaticallyUsage Data: features used, scans performed, sessions completed, meals logged, scores, ranks, milestones, and progress over time.
Device Information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, and time zone.
Performance Data: crash logs, error reports, and diagnostic information used to fix bugs and improve stability.
c. Information from Third PartiesApple App Store and RevenueCat: subscription status and purchase validation. We do not receive or store your payment card or bank details.
Apple and Google Sign-In: your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address, if you choose to hide your email).
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATIONPhysique Analysis: process your scan photos using AI to generate abs scores, zone breakdowns, body-fat estimates, and feedback.
Nutrition Analysis: process meal photos, voice notes, text descriptions, and barcodes to estimate calories and macronutrients.
Personalisation: build and adapt your training plan, calorie and protein targets, coaching cues, and recommendations based on your profile, goals, and results.
Progress Tracking: store and display your scans, comparisons, streaks, ranks, and milestones over time.
App Functionality: operate, maintain, secure, and improve Shredr, including its home-screen widget and reminders.
Notifications: send local reminders and streak nudges you can disable at any time in your device settings.
Subscriptions: verify entitlement to Shredr Pro features and honour restores.
Communications: respond to your support enquiries and send important service messages.
Security: detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
Legal Compliance: comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests.
We Do NOT Use Your Data For:Targeted or behavioural advertising.
Selling or renting your personal data to third parties.
Facial recognition or biometric identification.
Tracking you across other companies' apps and websites. Shredr does not include advertising SDKs and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
Any purpose unrelated to Shredr's functionality.
4. AI-POWERED ANALYSIS AND DATA PROCESSINGShredr uses artificial intelligence to analyse the photos, voice notes, and descriptions you submit, and to generate scores, nutrition estimates, and coaching feedback.Important disclosures:Body Analysis Only: our AI analyses body structure, abdominal definition, and related physique indicators. We do not perform facial recognition and do not attempt to identify you from your images.
Third-Party AI Processing: analysis requests are sent over an encrypted connection to our AI processing partners, who process the content solely to return a result to Shredr. They are contractually prohibited from using your content for their own purposes, and your content is not used to train third-party AI models.
AI Limitations: AI-generated scores, calorie and macronutrient estimates, feedback, and recommendations are informational and educational only. They may be inaccurate and must not be relied upon for medical, clinical, dietary, or health decisions. Always consult a qualified professional before starting a training or nutrition programme.
No Routine Human Review: submissions are processed automatically. Content is not routinely reviewed by our staff, except where you ask us to investigate a technical issue or where review is required by law.
5. PHOTO AND IMAGE DATAWe understand that body photos are sensitive. Here is exactly how Shredr handles them:Purpose: photos are used only to generate your physique or nutrition analysis and to power your progress comparisons.
On-Device Storage: your scan photos are stored locally on your device, inside Shredr's private, sandboxed storage.
Transmission for Analysis: photos are transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS) to be analysed, and are used only to return your result. They are not added to any public dataset or used for advertising.
No Sharing or Sale: your photos are never sold, shared for marketing, or used for advertising.
No Facial Recognition: we do not use facial recognition or biometric identification technology.
Camera and Photo Library Access: access is requested only when you actively choose to take or upload a photo, and can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings.
Sharing Is Your Choice: progress and comparison images are shared only if you deliberately choose to share them using your device's share sheet.
Deletion: you can delete photos by deleting the relevant entry, deleting your account in the App, or removing the App from your device. You may also request deletion by contacting us.
6. VOICE, MICROPHONE, AND SPEECH DATAShredr lets you log meals by speaking. Microphone access is used only while you are actively recording a meal note. Your speech is transcribed to text so it can be turned into a food entry. We do not use your voice for voice identification, and we do not record you in the background or when the App is not in use. You can revoke microphone and speech recognition permission at any time in your device's Settings.7. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITYWe implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including:Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL).
Reputable cloud infrastructure with access controls and row-level security on your account data.
Secure storage of authentication tokens in the device Keychain.
Access to personal data restricted on a need-to-know basis.
Regular review of our security practices.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use Shredr at your own risk.8. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSUREWe do not sell your personal data.We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:Service Providers: trusted vendors who help us run Shredr, including cloud hosting and database providers, authentication providers, AI processing providers, subscription management providers, and open food databases used for barcode lookups. They are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations and may only use the data to provide services to us.
Legal Authorities: where required by law, court order, subpoena, or a valid government request.
Safety and Protection: to protect the rights, safety, or property of Westarch Labs Ltd, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. You will be notified of any change of ownership or use of your personal data.
9. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENT DATAShredr offers auto-renewing subscription plans ("Shredr Pro") through the Apple App Store.Payment Processing: all payments are processed by Apple. We never receive, process, or store your card or banking details.
Subscription Data: we receive your subscription status (active, expired, cancelled, or in a promotional period) via Apple and our subscription management provider, so we can unlock premium features and restore purchases.
Managing Your Subscription: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel at any time in your Apple Account subscription settings.
Refunds: refunds are handled solely by Apple. We cannot issue refunds directly.

Correction: request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected.
Deletion: request deletion of your personal data and account. You can also delete your account instantly in the App under Settings.
Portability: request your data in a portable format, where technically feasible.
Restriction and Objection: ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
Withdraw Consent: withdraw consent for processing, including by revoking camera, photo, microphone, or notification permissions in your device Settings. This may limit App functionality.
Opt Out of Communications: turn off reminders in your device Settings or unsubscribe from non-essential emails.
Non-Discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights: contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days, or sooner where required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office.11. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (UK/EEA USERS)Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:Contract: to provide the App, your account, your plan, and your subscription.
Consent: for processing your photos and other health-related information, for microphone access, and for notifications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate Interests: to secure the App, prevent fraud and abuse, fix bugs, and improve our product, balanced against your rights.
Legal Obligation: to comply with laws that apply to us.
12. DATA RETENTIONWe retain your personal information only as long as necessary to:Provide Shredr's features and maintain your account, plan, and progress history.
Comply with our legal obligations.
Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Scan photos remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICESShredr integrates with, or links to, third-party services such as the Apple App Store, Apple and Google sign-in, our cloud and AI providers, and public food databases used for barcode lookups. This Policy covers only Shredr. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.14. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERSYour information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. Where we transfer personal data out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. By using Shredr, you consent to such transfers.15. HEALTH AND FITNESS DISCLAIMERShredr is a fitness and wellness product, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not connected to Apple Health. Scores, body-fat estimates, calorie and macronutrient figures, and training recommendations are estimates for general guidance only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any exercise or nutrition programme, particularly if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating.16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICYWe may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements.Notification: material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email.
Effective Date: changes take effect on the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy.
Continued Use: continuing to use Shredr after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
